![]() I have spoken and emailed Photomechanic in the past as I have used their software about 12 years. Your reply pretty much sums up Phase 1's "attitude". This is your first response to another users question: "This would suggest there is something wrong on your system." Until then, there is no reason to suspect the root of the issue and it's worth mentioning that perhaps you should contact PhotoMechanics as well given the nature of the issue… they're good people and if something seems amiss they can always contact us to discuss it (or vis versa). We won't know until we have a file in a support case and can begin to have a look. Perhaps it will result in an answer that accommodates you but there is certainly the chance that the cause is simply out of our hands. And when we do, we will be happy to explain what is happening. If there is a conflict of compatibility with another software, we of course take note and offer any possible workaround available.Ĭapture One is certainly not cheap, but the price of our software does not place the responsibility of accommodating other shortcomings on us.Īs noted, if you want us to have a look we are happy to do so. If there is a change in the OS (which is out of our control) we of course point that out and either petition the manufacture for a fix or find a workaround. If there is a bug in the software, we of course note it and fix it. ![]() I can't say that these are anybody's fault per say but there is certainly a cause and certainly a solution. Software conflicts are simple equations, A+B =C. I don't think we blame anyone, we simply explain where the conflict lies. It has to be said that I'm not really a fan of the attitude in your posts, we're here to help and happy to give everyone the same opportunity but it seems all of your posts mention how terrible our software is and to date I see no efforts to contact support to help us help you. Not sure how an action in PhotoMechanic not working is the fault of Capture One, but if you want to create a support case and provide specifics we'll take a look. I have dozens of apps on my system and none (even the $2-10) constantly crash like Capture One. Your software is expensive and should be have less bugs at the price. I hope you don't think Joey L has a bad attitude/install of OS X because he commented on how your software crashes during his CreativeLive session. I have contacted support on other occasions and they have not solved my issues. It works in Aperture, Lightroom and many bug free programs. It is not a fault of PM as I have been able to pass files from it for years. Please contact Adobe for support with Lightroom. It seems that whenever there is an issue with Capture One the support team always blames Mac OS X, another app, the user's bad install, some conflict in the user's system.anything but perhaps a Capture One bug which there have been many documented such as Capture One 8, instead of closing, opens up the catalog window seletion when I try to shutdown the machine. Note: This article contains information about a third-party product. Select Start, and all images and their metadata will be scanned into the Photo Mechanic Catalog. Use the Catalog menu and select Scan to Catalog… then, under Folders to Scan, select Add. and locate the parent folder that contains the images in your Lightroom Library.
